Portland's biggest natural wonder, millions upon millions of pebbles, as far as the eye can see, they start biggest at this end of Chesil and gradually get smaller as you go along, right the way up to near Bridport.
Although it IS illegal to take any pebbles from this beach I can promise you there are hundreds of houses on Portland that have a pebble inside them having been painted on by the kids, be it a name, smiley face, sunshine, whatever they choose, then varnished to keep it nice and shown off somewhere in the house.
If you go to watch the latest released film called "The boat that rocked" you will see this beach as well the Portland harbour on the other side where the sailing will be in 2012.
Chesil beach...like no other in the world!
