Portlanders as it was will close in July or sooner, now I have found an alternative, which is not yet as rich as ning in some aspects, though it is looking like a good alternative, for now at least.
I am hoping many of you will join the new site and if you have any issues, please do let me know about them and I'll do what I can to help resolve it.
Portland community online
The new Portland Bill community page is open to all Portlanders, past and present, the only people not getting in are spammers and abusers.
It was a shame to have to do this and as of yet I can see no way to just import everything from ning to the new set up... shame that, it could have made things so smooth and simple while saving everyone time.
If you are a member of the Portlanders.ning site, please do save all that you have shared there, as of now you will have over a month to deal with that, if you have writing there you could copy, paste it to a notepad file.
Please do add what you want to the new community page and have fun playing with the profile set up to make yours stand out.
I would be interested in your thoughts on the new site and what could be done to improve it, if it's possible.
