The park. |
With the landscaped garden, the nice trees and shrubbery here, it's giving the place a foreign feel, it was relaxing.
In the middle of the picture you see some stones, just here is the benches, almost hidden back into the shrubbery, in high summer this is a blaze of colour.
Easy to get lost in thought sitting there watching the world go by, I can remember mum bringing us here as little kids, though the playing area has changed alot since then, this part you see here is much as it was back then.
Nice to still see the building you see here still standing and being used by the local bowling club, which I remember my own grandad enjoyed in his later years.
There is also a pair of tennis courts in the park, enclosed in fencing like most are, this sits on the far side of the bowling green and is open all day, first come first served, so to speak ;o)
Sad to see the nice view from here is being replaced by the recent unwanted "captains field" homes being built in front and opposite of the park, hopefully these ALL go to locals!
The park is a relaxing place here and in many ways underused.
